Role description
The mission of the Head of Industry Segment Food is to own the Global Industry Segment
strategy and drive profitable growth of the Industry Segment by being the knowledge expert
and collaborative partner to create customer impact together with the Regional Area and
Country commercial teams. The role requires to demonstrate a balance of strong strategic
acumen and technical sales expertise.
The Industry Segment team will be measured on a shadow P&L, driving execution of the Global
Industry Segment strategy while establishing a high-quality commercial culture and
harmonizing our ways of working.
The person in this role collaborates and communicates openly and builds trustful relationships
with Global, Regional, Market Area and Country commercial teams. The person will be
dedicated to the task full time (100%).

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Global Industry Segment team Food
  • Develop and own the Global Industry Segment strategy
  • Provide strategic direction and collaborate with Industry Segment team members on all
  • Own the Industry Segmentspecific product portfolio and value proposition
  • Drive Industry Segment related global campaigns(activities, materials, projects, etc.)
    with MarCom
  • Collaborate closely with commercial leadsto execute and live the Industry Segment
  • Support Global/ Regional/ Market Areas/ Country teams in critical customer meetings /
  • Identify customer needs, provide input to R&D, and collaborate with P&TD on innovation
  • Define target market price and support in project /special prices for Industry Segment
    product portfolio
  • Lead, coordinate, and track Industry Segmentspecific product launches based on best practices
  • Be accountable for the Industry Segment shadow P&L and assigned financial KPIs,
    including targets
  • Be the knowledge expert and business development leader recognized by our customers
  • Build select top-management customer relationships and potentially take over the
    responsibility for one of the Global Accounts within the Food Segment
  • Develop a Community to facilitate knowledge exchange and build deep industry &
    application knowledge
  • Coordinate and build on expertise of Excellence functions
  • Foster our Corporate Culture and Values

Education and experience

  • university degree in engineering or business administration (minimum Bachelor’s degree,
    reputable university)
  • Minimum of >10 years’ experience in an international commercial leadership role incl.
    technical sales
  • Experience leading global teams in an international business environment
  • Experience working at a manufacturer or OEM within the Food industry
  • Experience working in a multi-channel business environment
